Well, John-Cro and Magnon didn't manage to move into their cave, but they may not have said their last word yet...

Back at the owner's cave. John-Cro says, “Seriously, this "private property" thing doesn't make any sense...” Magnon agrees, “You don't even use this cave!”
The owner is adamant: “With all due respect, you're confusing usus and fructus, it's not the same thing.” John-Cro: “What the fuss?” The owner: “It's Latin, I'm way ahead of my time.”
The guy gets angry: “My mom left me this property as an inheritance! It has sentimental value, you can't take it away from me!” Magnon remarks: “Yeah, well, the rent isn't sentimental, is it?”
John-Cro is annoyed too: “That's outrageous! Basically, we can't have a place to live just because you were born into the right family and we weren't?!” The guy shrugs his shoulders indifferently: “If your parents didn't invest, you should take it up with them, not me!”
Magnon and John-Cro look at each other, embarrassed.
John-Cro speaks to a bonobo: “Mom?” The bonobo, surprised, replies: “Ook?” Note: Comic strip licensed under CC BY SA (grisebouille.net), drawn on December 5, 2024 by Gee.
