Sophie walks away, furious. Superfluous follows her, saying, “Don't sulk, I said I was sorry about the Gypsies…” She replies, “If you want to be a hero, start by proving yourself a little more worthy of it!” Superfluous has an idea and suggests, excitedly, “And if I find you a very white, very French criminal, you'll stop being angry?” Sophie explodes with rage: “STOP ACTING AS SUCH A REACTIONARY, XENOPHOBIC, OLD BOURGEOIS AND LEAVE ME ALONE!” She walks away, very angry, saying: “I'm going back to the château!” Superfluous is stunned. He finally says: “Old? Am I old?
