The Progressive One

Because in the end, politics is all about compromise and peaceful debate.

The Progressive One

An angry guy says, “One day, it's all gonna blow up…” Another, more reasonable one: “Don't say that… Violence doesn't solve anything.”

The first one insists: “But we can't go on like this! We're suffering while others reap the cash and watch us struggle, laughing their heads off!” The second one: “It's more complicated than that. I mean, it's also thanks to them that we have jobs, let's not forget that! Without them, we'd be even worse off!”

The first one, stunned: “Come on! You can see they're exploiting us! We have to fight! But we have to fight THEM! ” The other one, naively: “Hmm, you know, it's too easy to say "it's all their fault." Let's stop pointing fingers: it's counterproductive. That's not how we'll create a peaceful and united society. It'd be better to have a civil debate with them!”

The scene zooms out; we see the two characteners in a prison cell grabbing weapons and heading toward the exit. The first one, jaded, says: “Fuck me, you've really changed, Spartacus…” The jailer, holding a whip, watches them, laughing, and says: “Come on, time to shine, you buffoons! And get moving, I want to see some blood; we paid good money for you!” Note: Comic licensed under CC BY SA (grisebouille.net), drawn on March 6, 2019, by Gee.
