Neighborhood Problem

Magnon and John-Cro may have regular problems with the local wildlife, but at least their cave is a haven of peace... right?

Magnon and John-Cro are reading the newspaper in the living room when they hear “TOM! TOM! TOM! TOM!” coming from above. John-Cro: “Hey, what's that noise?” Magnon: “The new neighbor upstairs.”
John-Cro: “Who's that?” Magnon: “He moved in this morning. He's a musician.” John-Cro leaves, saying: “Well, I'm going to go tell him how I feel about his music...” The noise continues.
John-Cro arrives at the neighbor's door, angry, with a club in his hand. A Neanderthal man is playing the tom-tom and welcomes him with a smile, saying: “Bone joor! Jaymah pale Néandertal!”
John-Cro shows him his club menacingly and warns him: “You'd better turn down the volume or I'll teach you a lesson about balance of power!” The man doesn't seem impressed.
Close-up of Magnon, sounds of a struggle can be heard above (“SMACK! SMACK! BOOM! OW!”).
Back in the living room, John-Cro and Magnon are reading the newspaper. John-Cro has a smashed head and a bloody nose. Magnon asks, “So, did he learn his lesson?” John-Cro replies, “I reckon he already knew it...” Note: Comic strip licensed under CC BY SA (grisebouille.net), drawn on June 16, 2025 by Gee.
