It's about time someone took the diplomatic route in this story...

Outside, Néandertal and John-Cro are glaring at each other, Magnon is in the middle and says: “Okay. You left on bad terms, but I think we can try to reconcile.”
Magnon: “I suggest we exchange homemade specialties to celebrate our differences.” The others relax. John-Cro: “Alright, alright...” Néandertal: “Dak or, dak or...”
Néandertal hands John-Cro a glass, saying: “Jean-Cro, hunbee airday monpay yee.” John-Cro: “Uh, thanks?” Magnon: “A toast to friendship, wonderful!”
Magnon insists: “Your turn, John-Cro.” John-Cro hands Néandertal a bowl-shaped container: ”Here. Homemade drink. No hard feelings, Néandertal.” Néandertal: ”Murr sea.”
Later, back in the living room, Magnon, suspiciously: “Hey, you didn't give him your chamber pot, did you?” John-Cro: “What? That's about as friendly as I can get. I even gave the drink a special name.”
