Meeting of Co-Owners

Published on 29 September 2025 by Gee

So, John-Cro and Magnon have been ordered to leave their home... but what about the other co-owners?

John-Cro, Magnon, Néandertal, and the velociraptor are sitting in a circle outside. John-Cro: “Alright. Since our homes are under threat, I've decided to organize a first meeting of co-owners. Thank you all for coming.”
Magnon, skeptical: “You invited the velociraptor to the meeting?” John-Cro: “Well, yeah? He kind of owns the garden.” The raptor: “Pwak!” Magnon: “But we can't even understand what he's saying!”
John-Cro: “If you go there, we can't understand Néandertal either...” Néandertal, smiling: “Bone joor! Vooza vey duhvin?”
Magnon wonders: “Precisely! How are we going to talk to each other?” John-Cro, confident: “Don't worry, I ran into the neighbor from the cave near the grocery store, and she gave me a solution!”
Magnon doesn't understand: “The neighbor? Rosetta?” John-Cro shows him a pitcher: “That's her! She told me that if everyone drank this, we'd end up understanding each other!” Néandertal, happy: “Rosette? Eley treyjan tee!”
A few drinks later... The four are completely drunk. In the background, Magnon laughs with Néandertal: “Jaymah pale Maneehôn, hee hee hee!!” Néandertal: “I am veyree happee to bee heerruh! Haha!” John-Cro, drunk, looks at his glass: “It's true that we understand each other much better when we are Rosetta-stoned...” The raptor: “Pwaak!” Note: Comic strip licensed under CC BY SA (grisebouille.net), drawn on August 7, 2025 by Gee.
